一月初才上线的，新鲜滚烫，可在这里先睹为快。Jaime Hayon是74年生人，在马德里和巴黎学工业设计，97年被Luciano Benetton和Oliviero Toscani亲点到Fabrica学习室内和平面设计，2004年开始独立执业，以他那套著名的浴室系列一炮而红。看到他的东西，好多人都觉得Philip Starck该歇歇了。不过设计这东西潮流变幻，是否经得起时间考验也难说。

NOTCOT.COM started in March 2005 and reaches 100,000+ international visitors monthly.

NOTCOT is dedicated to:
1. DESIGN. A love and admiration of well designed things. There is no reason for something today not to be aesthetically stunning.
2. IMAGERY. We organize our design and features around enticing, well composed images. The images speak for themselves, so text is secondary – but we always provide frank, honest, insightful reviews.
3. CURATION. We highlight inspiring products and concepts for designers, boutiques, and consumers. The side tags host monthly gallery showings of up and coming artists which link to Gallery Notcot.

In autumn 2006, Wendy Plovmand was awarded a travel grant of 50,000 Danish kroner from the design fund of the Danish Ministry of Culture. Wendy will use the grant to finance a working stay in New York where she will be presenting her design and illustration works and promoting her business.

How will you spend the grant money?
I will use it for an extended working stay in New York where, among other things, I will look for an agent to represent me in the USA. The stay also includes meetings with clients and galleries as well as market research concerning new applications of illustrations and design work. I would like to help position Danish design and illustrations world-wide.

What does the grant mean for you/your project?
The grant makes it financially possible for me to focus 100% on my artistic ambitions, and it gives me a unique opportunity to make international professional contacts that I can use in my future business development as a designer.

Why New York?
Because it is a city that is geared for welcoming young talents. I already have several good contacts, and for someone in my field a city like New York holds great opportunity. As I see it, New York offers opportunities for artistic growth and inspiration – and for an international breakthrough!

What motivates your project?
The desire and ambition to be successful a designer and illustrator on an international scale.

What do you hope to accomplish with your trip?
I hope to find a good agent and a great deal of inspiration and experience as well as new exciting ideas for my future design work in Denmark and abroad. In the long term, a sound professional network and a couple of the big clients from my Top 20 wish list of clients which includes both Apple and Anna Sui.

Born 1975, graduated as a designer and illustrator from Danmarks Designskole, the Institute of Communication Design in 2001. Founded the design firm Underwerket with colleague Lisa Grue that same year. Underwerket was very successful both within the commercial arena and in artistic circles. Their clients numbered large Danish firms, including the Royal Danish Theatre, Post Danmark, Fritz Hansen and many publishing houses and magazines. In 2005 Wendy Plovmand chose to leave Underwerket to focus on developing her own artistic expression and design visions.

USB已经不单单是一种接口技术了，又太多玩意插在那个简陋的插口上，用它来取暖，煮咖啡，烤牛排……。这些好玩的玩意未必适合每一个人的口味，但是这个USBCELLs可能很多人会觉得需要一个，一个USB充电电池，它本身就是一个充电器，适合台式机和笔记本。

如果以文学影视作品来看一个问题的话，忘记结婚纪念日以及对方生日的往往就是男性，所以就有了这个GETS HOT男士专用结婚戒指，用来在特殊的节日给你提醒，方式是发热（从24小时前从120华氏度大概49摄氏度开始发热）。Cleve Oines开始将这个图片发到网上只是作为一个玩笑，但是受到很多反馈，所以开始和工程师接触并计划明年推出真实的产品。(via:The Raw Feed)

现在很多产品都有提醒功能，比如闹钟，手机，PDA等等，而这个特殊之处就是和特殊用途的特殊产品结合，并且以一种让人感觉有冲击力的方式表现出来。从这一点出发，我们就会发现很多围绕着我们的产品发生着巨大变化，手机有了，手表该是什么样；空调有了，电扇该是什么样了；网络有了，邮局该是什么样了……。有些东西本质并没有变化，但是一种新的交互方式就让其成为一个几乎全新的东西，比如网站，交互成了创新的核心。

瞎了眼的相机还能是相机吗？我们身边有太多的相机，传统的，数码的，手机上的，电线杆上的……，人们拍照是为了留念，虽然现在人们很少在相片的背面去慎重写上几个字，但是我们记录的目的是为了回忆，相机就是记录当时当地的情形，而后可以自己留念也可以分享（也许现在分享的乐趣远大于留念，所以就成就了Flickr等)。

而Sascha Pohflepp的这个Buttons却是一个瞎了的相机，没有光学镜头的相机，严格的说它并不具有拍照功能，但是它有记录功能，记录你按下快门的时刻，但是它呈现出来不是你眼前的图像，而是此时此刻别人按下快门所拍摄的情形，它是一个网络设备。当别人在那一时刻拍下的照片开始在网络上分享的时候，你就能收到那一时刻记录（是你的记录也是那人的记录）。(via:USC IMD)

（如果把这种想法嫁接到目前“正常”的相机上，比如一对相机，这个镜头的获取的图案自动发送到另外一台上而不在本机储存，……或者说更远一点，我们是否太专注于自己眼中看到的世界了？）

这个woofer看到已经不是三次四次了，今天在reluct的荷兰设计周图片展上再次看到，发现对它的感觉有些变化。woofer来自C U L T I V A T E（我们前面介绍过C U L T I V A T E一款非常精彩的灯Marie-Louise），由Sander Mulder,Dave Keune和Buro Vormkrijgers设计,woofer有些古怪,表达也很直白,而且外形也许会带来一点不适,很容易让人觉得是哗众取宠,但不断在是/否权衡取舍之间会发现一些新的感觉,比那些哗众取宠或完全仿形的产品有再进一步的结果。他们的介绍：

去年八月份台湾国立故宫博物馆邀请droog的Gijs Bakker参加主持他们的一个训练营(workshop)–“新故宫，今古意”，探讨当地文化对全球设计的影响,为博物馆的礼品店设计新产品。有30个设计师参与其中，并有9个提案将以纪念品的形式实现，其中4个设计已经可供生产。

上图的为：糖块，博物馆里面有一件藏品是微雕小舟，只能通过显微镜来欣赏。用它来作礼品将是让人动心的事，这个设计将这叶小舟的复制品包裹在糖块里面，糖块融化，闲舟泛波。

这个设计让你把博物馆中的气息带回家，你只要找到一个瓶子，然后用电吹风固定它即可。

启发自明代瓷器，一个五合一的花瓶，分开成为5个碗。

这个明朝玩偶的出发点是，从历史的角度来看，各个时期对美都有不同的解释。它的原型是一个著名的明代仕女陶俑，同时它也算是对西方芭比娃娃的一种模仿。

当你需要看时间的时候，只要按下按钮，这个Receipt Clock（收据式时钟）就会将日期和时间打印出来给你，同时上面有一些横线空白栏，可以让你随便写些东西。

这个Receipt Clock由RCA(Royal College of Art)的研究生Marc Owens设计，那些车站、银行、商店里的收据上的日期时间触动了他的思考。(via:dezee)

一个非常有意思的设计，那些收据便条本身挺吸引人的，特别是现在高清晰、数码、写真泛滥的环境，看着那些针式打印字体另有一番味道（当然还有针式机那机械声），如同像素画。而这个Receipt Clock把便签融入其中，让它的意义扩大，如果收集整理票据一般去整理这些“时光”是消磨时光的好方法。

最近又跟杂志社接上了头，看杂志的频率逐渐上升。Coco-cola赞助的这个杂志很有看头，艺术+服装的语言，相当有个性！06冬季号，贡献给大家。
